Pretty much just getting warmed up around mile 4.

A relatively dry portion of the race around mile 6.

Rounding the island in Batavia around mile 7. Nice and steady.

Full out downpour around mile 22 crossing the bridge at Fabyan Park. At this point, I'd already cracked, fallen behind the 3:45 pace group, and was fighting to keep moving forward.

Energy to smile for the camera at mile 23? No chance.

I really wanted to do my traditional hands-in-the-air finish, but I was so exhausted I thought I'd trip and fall. So I settled for the one-armed-fist-pump.

The finish...thank goodness...and a huge sense of accomplishment at smashing my sub-4-hour goal with a 3:52:48.
