The follow-up to my previous post about the celebration of my one year Runniversary…
The final tally of official stats from my first year of running:
- Number of runs: 160
- Runs on the treadmill: 114 (I still love the treadmill, even though 95% of my runs since January 1 have been outside.)
- Outside runs: 46 (That ratio of indoor/outdoor runs will continue to change as I keep spending more of my time outside…)
- Calories burned: 149,383 (That number will probably shrink in the future, or simply become more accurate, now that I have a Garmin, a heart monitor, and am not relying on the poorly calibrated gym treadmill…)
- Miles: 1,141 (I’m actually more proud of the fact that I ran 160 times than I am of my mileage, which is why it’s buried in the list.)
- Hours: 157 hours
- Average minutes per mile pace over the course of the year: 8.18
- Average miles per hour over the course of the year: 7.3 mph
- Races: 3 (September half marathon, Thanksgiving 4-miler, April marathon)
